This was also written on the back of a cardboard advent calendar, but it’s written in John’s I-just-learned-cursive loopy script along with I-just-learned-this-word spelling and grammar.  I think it’s cute just because it’s John pre-internet, and I know that he and it go way back.

Isn’t it funny knowing that someday I’ll be quoting myself or my family from blog posts?  I mean, not in the way we do it today with all of this reblogging stuff, but in the way that it’s been 18 years and the blog will soon be pre-something-else, another advent calendar.  Speaking of:

“This year Alex turned one year old.  I got a pocket knife for christmas.  I’m in third grade my teacher’s name is Mrs. C—.  Betsy is in kindergarten she has Mrs. D—.  katie goes to nursery school at RM.  I play soccer and go to cub scouts.  Papa works for barnes + nobel.  Our nanny’s name is Susan G—.  She is English and came to us in March.  Susan’s parents visited us on the month of April and it was mama’s Birthday.  And our boat engine caught on fire.  I got my yellow belt in karate.  Betsy takes Ballet lessons from Betty robins I was king Herod in the pagent.  Betsy was a sheperd.  and katie was an angel.  Aunt Barbara Died in a car crash.  On Memorial day weekend.  We all went to vermont for the fourth of july week.  even Great Grama and Grama and tascha.  Betsy Graduated from safety town.  In December we went to the nutcracker ballet in Lincon center and we saw F.A.O. Swartz.  Christ + karen Moved.  Alex can walk.  I got a new Nintendo tape.  Mama works for Diloute and + Touce.”
