That awkward transition between “next in line” and “take a number”.
this is all too familiar and it happens often in places just like this (retail stores, deli’s, etc).
part of me is relieved when a place of business has properly thought out their full customer experience and the other part of me gets that uncomfortable “you’re being herded” twitch.
